40th Resurrection
[Mail call! Theo's at the mail box on his way home when he notices there's been a delivery. Inside is a small envelope with his name on it. Great, more bullshit from home, he thinks. Whatever it is, is small and most likely metal.
He takes it inside and opens it at the kitchen. Out of it falls a small .38 caliber bullet which clatters to the table. Looking at it closely, it's smeared with blood. Theo stares at it blankly. He immediately knows what it is.]
You sick sons of bitches...
[Family members are free to come across this scene.
Later, Theo can be found walking around town, glad the weather is finally warming up. He's looking rather sullen, but accompanying are his two crow familiars. One flies ahead, or slowly around him, and the other sits on his shoulder. He's also talking aloud to them, and they chatter back.]
No, I really can't explain it. I missed a lot of it. There was a highway, and then a robot, and... no, you're not going out to the highway. There's nothing there.
Except maybe bears.
[Approach/accost/etc?]

[Surprisingly, that's what looks to be some honest regret on Theo's face.]

I intended for the resurrection of the graveyard I started it in. I worked for weeks, I set it up around the mausoleums so I didn't have to dig anything up. It went off stronger than I planned, I made them them even stronger than I thought. Those they killed came back minutes later, adding to it.
I wanted the chaos, I wanted people to notice and be terrified. I wanted him to know that I fucking meant business and that I knew what I was doing, that I wasn't fucking worthless! Before I knew it, the things were everywhere, I was out of power and the Lumen Conscientia had found me out along with the FBI. They found me. I was watching and they found me and killed me. I could barely move because my energy was gone. One of the agents just flipped out and shot me after being told to bring me in alive.
I knew what I was doing! I knew what I was fucking doing and it went out of control so that bastard won in the end anyway! Th-that son of a bitch always gets his way, he probably fucking tipped off the LC, probably knew the entire fucking time--
[He suddenly cuts himself short, violently kicks the nearest kitchen chair, and storms out of the house.]

He tries to light a cigarette as he goes, but his hands are shaking too much for him to light the match. He tosses them aside and opts for his flask instead.
He keeps walking.]

What!
[He had nothing else to say, and can't imagine what she could have left to say to him at this point.]

I don't-- No! I'm...
[Of course, he has no idea where he's going. He just can't deal with this right now. Not that he ever really can.]

He stars back at her, waiting to hear what she has to say.]

When he finally manages to answer, it's quiet, but he doesn't break eye contact.]
I don't deserve anyone's forgiveness.

[At this point, Theo is starting to sound exhausted.]
I can't see Mayfield as a second chance. Mayfield is a punishment.

After a moment, he looks at her.]
What do you see Mayfield as, then? Why do you think you're here?
