[Mail call! Theo's at the mail box on his way home when he notices there's been a delivery. Inside is a small envelope with his name on it. Great, more bullshit from home, he thinks. Whatever it is, is small and most likely metal.
He takes it inside and opens it at the kitchen. Out of it falls a small .38 caliber bullet which clatters to the table. Looking at it closely, it's smeared with blood. Theo stares at it blankly. He immediately knows what it is.]
You sick sons of bitches...
[Family members are free to come across this scene.
Later, Theo can be found walking around town, glad the weather is finally warming up. He's looking rather sullen, but accompanying are his two crow familiars. One flies ahead, or slowly around him, and the other sits on his shoulder. He's also talking aloud to them, and they chatter back.]
No, I really can't explain it. I missed a lot of it. There was a highway, and then a robot, and... no, you're not going out to the highway. There's nothing there.
Except maybe bears.
[Approach/accost/etc?]

. . . U-Um. Excuse me. Sorry. Is your name Theo . . . ?
no subject
...Yes. Why?

[The braver one protests. They're just being friendly!]

That's probably closer. I think I was the one who bugged them first, actually . . .
Um. It's nice to meet you for real, Mr. Theo.

As it is, the conversation is all that draws the redhead's attention. That the crows are chattering and he can't understand them reminds him of Vayne, actually, and he approaches only partly because of that.
In spite of their... rather troublesome first impressions, he seems relaxed and unworried, raising a hand in greeting.]
Hey! You're that... uh... Theo, right? I think that was what she said...
[Something wrong with this scenario? He's not droned, that's obvious enough... so why the relaxed greeting? ... Pretty much, that's just how Flay is.]

He also whips out his small spellbook from his coat pocket. This is a mage equivalent of drawing a sword.]
Wh-What do you want!
no subject
... Oh. Right. People aren't used to Flay yet.]
Well, I was thinking we could talk. I mean, you don't strike me as the type of guy who usually goes attacking people for no apparent reason. If you are, I guess I'll have to do something about that...
[He still hasn't drawn his sword, in spite of the reaction. No sense in making things worse - which is a rare occurrence, for the redhead.]
no subject
"Talk"? You expect me to believe that? I blew off you're damn head!
no subject
... Well, yeah, there's that. But hey, I came back, right? We didn't kill Isolde just because of what she did to Roxis, or anything... Okay, maybe that had as much to do with Vayne's powers as anything, but still... C'mon, let the past go! [His arms cross over his chest.] I mean, I can drop my sword, if that makes you feel more comfortable...
no subject
Wh-what do you want to "talk" about, anyway.
[He's still on the defensive, though.]
