sanctus_dei | 34th Resurrection

[What does Theo do when he's bored? He gets drunk! And he certainly gets drunk a lot. Today's no exception. You'll find him:

A) At the pub, at a table. Somehow, his two crow familiars have snuck their way in with him. One is sitting on his shoulder, chatting at him quietly. Theo talks aloud with it. The other is flapping from table to table, sitting on chairs and curiously looking at other patrons, eavesdropping on conversations. Occasionally he returns to his master and fills him in on any juicy tidbits he overheard. Feel free to annoy/talk to/attempt to shoo Theo and his feathery friends.

B)Outside, there's someone who's fallen over in a snowbank! Maybe it's outside your house or you're passing by, but there's Theo, stuck there like an upturned turtle. There's a dropped flask a few feet away, and the crows are sitting with him unsure of what to do. The braver one gently pecks at his knee. The other one is doing the crow version of laughter.]

Quiet! Shut up! 'Course I can get up. Just gimme a minute.

[It's not going to happen. So what will you do? You should probably point and laugh and leave him there, but you can try and help him if you want.]

I dunno, magic can't make people like you. Come on, I'll keep ya company while you go home, ok?

[He'd argue in this case that it does, but he doesn't feel like it.]

Yeah, yeah. What the hell street is this, anyway?

You're on Partridge. [There is a small amused 'dumbass' implied but even Ken has more tact then that.]

Where were you headed anyways?

Hnn. Home. Maybe. Whatever. I'm just sick of all this snow. How does anyone live with this stuff.

I dunno, I kinda like snow. I think it's pretty and it's fun to pay in when you can go inside and get warm again. [He sighs and looks up to the sky a bit]

But it's just like anythin', just do it in moderation and you're fine.

I'm not used to it. I think I liked life better without it. [He kicks a chunk that had fallen onto the sidewalk, and wobbles when he does. Oh yeah. Drunk.]

You didn't have snow where you're from? [come on Crow bros, help him out here, Ken tries to steer Theo away from a light pole]

It snowed once in San Francisco. When I was little. Everyone went nuts, but it was only an inch or two. Still, 's something that pretty much never happens. Too warm.

Well, I guess if you're from such a warm climate like that, any bit of snow can seem kinda daunting.

I have no idea how people live with this stuff all winter. Whatever, spring's gotta get here eventually.

Oh don't worry Theo, it does. [He pats the drunk on the shoulder]

I like winter, but I think that's also because my birthday and Christmas are during it.

Hnn. When's your birthday?

Ah, December 23rd. I mean, I like it and all but I always kinda forget because it's so close to Christmas.

[He laughs a bit, trying also to forget out Nagi had killed him and Miakis on his birthday here]

Don't worry 'bout it. When's yours?

October third. 1929. Less than a month before the stock market crash. Fun, huh.

[Ken has to laugh a bit] That's fitting, same month as Halloween. I shoulda' figured.

Stock Market Crash? [He's a little shaky on his American History. Care to enlighten?]

Hnn. The Great Depression? Surely you've heard of that.

Well, yeah. I've heard of that. Er, sorta. I didn't pay much attention in history class.

[He looks a little sheepish at this]

I guess it's a long time ago for you. But I'll tell you it's no fucking picnic.

I can believe it from the name alone.

things were pulling around, but my ass was still flat broke. Living in a house like in Mayfield was nothing like I ever had before. Friggin' spoiling me.

[Ken sighs and gives him a friendly pat on the shoulder.] I guess. Even with all the weird bullshit this town throws at you?

I guess. Not that I enjoy that. But being alive with a roof over my head is something.

Being alive does count for a lot. [He nods soberly.] Hey Theo, if you could go anywhere, like to anyone's world here, where would you go?

...I actually had an offer to go back with someone, but the town sent her back ages ago. I dunno. Anywhere bu my actual home will do.

Hey, if all else fails, you could definitely come to Tokyo with me. You're smart enough you'd pick things up in now time.
