21st Resurrection - The Honeymoon Suite

[Hey Tlachtga, enjoy being woken up by the sound of your not!husband cursing a the locked door of the hotel you've just woken up in. He's also thrown his coat and tie accross the room, and there's a bouquet of flowers lying on the floor.]

Son of a BITCH! This goddamn town, I swear to God...!

Great. I guess we wait here until whatever mind game of the month starts. I can't imagine that this is it. [He waves a hand, indicating the room as a whole.]

Well fuck it. I'm getting a drink. [He starts rummaging through the minibar.]

[identity profile] hexbell.livejournal.com 2010-09-04 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Oh, why not. She doesn't drink often, but it isn't like there are too many other options for how to waste time while caged up like this.]

Would you mind it much...if I asked that you get a second, for me? [He's already over there, so it can't really hurt to ask.]

i>[He manages to find what he wanted - a bottle of red wine.]

Finally.

[He pours you glass, but his definitely has more in it. Your not!hubby is on a fast train to alcoholism. Thanks, Mayfield!]

Here. This is actually half-decent compared to what they usual have in town. Must be a real friggin' special occasion then. I wonder if everyone else in town is locked up in here too.

[identity profile] hexbell.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
[Not that she's arguing with this; there was a fair chance she wouldn't have all of it either way. She is a little surprised that he didn't object to the request, though, and will accept the glass with a small nod when he brings it over.]

What manner of occasion would involve locking people into rooms like this?

[identity profile] sanctusdei.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Who can tell with this town. It's not something cliche like Valentine's Day, but I guess they've decided we need a of couple's retreat or something.

[He frowns at the thought of this, and takes a long drink of his wine.]

I wonder how long they plan to keep us in here until something happens.

[identity profile] hexbell.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
[Until something happens. Could it be that Theo has unknowingly answered his own question?]

I haven't the slightest idea of how long it may possibly be should we simply wait, but perhaps our captors expect something of us before they will allow us to leave...

[identity profile] sanctusdei.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
[He chokes a bit on his drink.] You're not suggesting what I think you are, are you? Christ. [He grimaces. He's going need more booze if that was the case.]

It can't be something as obvious as that.

Can it?

[identity profile] hexbell.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
It is difficult to say. I do agree that it seems far too obvious, however, and will admit that I am not thrilled by the idea myself...

Shall we opt for waiting first to see if anything will happen...?

[identity profile] sanctusdei.livejournal.com 2010-09-05 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
I guess. I wonder how they plan to keep us here then. There's some food, but it's only one meal. So it might not be as long as the weekend. Or so we can hope anyway.

[TIME FOR MORE WINE. It'll be gone soon enough.]

[identity profile] hexbell.livejournal.com 2010-09-06 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Still on her first glass, and considering asking for a refill if she manages to finish it.]

I would suspect that it is just for one night, then... [Unless Mayfield intended to let them starve or something, but she won't risk worsening Theo's mood by suggesting that.]

[identity profile] sanctusdei.livejournal.com 2010-09-06 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[You can tell he's on the same track. He swirls the wine in his glass around for a moment, thinking.]

I wonder if everyone in town is forced into this. Everyone got those calls, right?

[identity profile] hexbell.livejournal.com 2010-09-06 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I do not think I would be surprised if that were the case. [Tlachtga-speak for "I think so".]

[identity profile] sanctusdei.livejournal.com 2010-09-07 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Then what about the kids? They can't be here too. And I highly doubt the town will leave anyone out of their little games.

[identity profile] hexbell.livejournal.com 2010-09-07 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
True, that would be...awkward. [And maybe a little disturbing.] Perhaps they would be trapped in a different manner, then... [They could ask Kay or Phantasma about it after they get sent back to the house, she thinks.]
