[Today Theo can be seen arguing with the drone of Marisa out on the street! H-He may be drunk, SURPRISE. She looks a bit frightened, and he's sort of following after her as she tries to skitter away, ranting.]

Come ON! Not you too!? Margot, then Shina, then Tlachtga and now this?! Christ Al-fucking-mighty!

M-Mr. Crawford, I really don't have any--

Stop calling me that! What the hell is this town doing?!

I'm sorry, sir, but I really need to get to get home!

[And off she trots. Theo is left standing there, looking confused and crushed, which melts away quickly to anger. He turns to head home after a few moments. His two crow familiars join him then, and chatter support at him. To most others, they just make crow noises, but he can obviously understand them. Or maybe he IS just really drunk.]

Maybe, I don't know.

No, she's droned too. ...For awhile now.

What?! No, he isn't... I don't think he is. Not that it goddamn matters!

Because! He doesn't... talk to me anymore, remember?

[It goes on like this for awhile as he walks through town. But, it results in Theo ending up at Ken's house on Partridge Drive. Feel free to stop him during any of this, or answer the door when he knocks. Loudy.]

They kinda act like it already. Their dispositions are way too friendly for your standard crows.

[He pats the one near him again. It chatters at him.]

Yeah. I know you love Mayfield. But I told you you're not convincing me.

[Ken smiles a little fondly at Theo. As much as he hated what that man did with the Zombie raid and how betrayed he felt about it, Ken also realize that that wasn't everything to Theo. He wasn't as one sidedly evil as all the people that Ken had fought previously and it confused him, but in the effort to keep everyone together he was willing to roll with it for now.

Besides, he missed him a little.]

[That was the same reason Theo was here. He just wasn't any good with apologies, despite all the egging on from the crows.

With his tea done and his birds fed, he figures at this point he should leave. He gets up, slowly.]

Right. You probably don't want me in your hair.

Are you sober enough to make it back to your house ok? [Ken would either offer him the couch, or walk him home. Theo was getting one of these two choices.]

Yeah. Fine. [The bird on the sill caws.] See? He knows the way.

[However the other one gets in Theo's way when he tries to leave, cawing loudly and flapping. He sighs at it.]

Would you knock it-- alright, alright!

Hang on, let me get my shoes on, I'll walk you home. It's a nice night and I need to get out of the house.

[He's a little stiff from the injuries that Miakis hasn't healed yet, but he's good against bumps in the night.]

[Brave crow is still trying to stop Theo, but he pushes past it. It eventually gives up and lands on his shoulder.] You're such a damn loudmouth. [But Theo still waits for Ken.]

[Ken laughs] I've heard that one before. [He thinks Theo is talking to him. He shoves his feet into his shoes and heads out the door with him.]

So...what have you been up to?

Then you're in good company with this pea-brain here. [He indicated the bird on his shoulder. It chatters again.

Erg. Small talk. But with Theo it always comes back to magic.]

Hnn. Just... nothing, really. There isn't anything to do here. I learned some new spells and watched as everyone I knew got droned.

... I met a couple of humanoid summoned familiars living in town. That was surprising.

Humanoid summoned familiars? [He's going to ignore that pessimistic comment there.]

Familiars and summons where I come from are not generally humanoid. They're creatures. But these two claim to be summons, and look like regular people. One claims to be a succubus and the other an ancient Irish hero.

...there's also a guy who claims to be the ancient king of Babylon.

Weird...I guess you get all kinds here. [He rubs the back of his neck]

I mean, look at you and me.

[He's going to grin and playfully poke Theo on the side of the head]

[He gives you a look.]

Sure ya are. I mean, come on, you've got two smart ass crows following you.

They're better company than most of the people in town.

I don't know about that. How many people do you talk to. Er...no offense. [That last bit is said to the crows]

Theo just frowns. The bird on his shoulder chatters at you. Hey, THEY like Theo a lot!]

Theo, I know it's painful, but even I can tell that you're lonely. You just have to keep reaching out to people.

[To avoid eye contact, he lights up a cigarette.]

...how long are we supposed to sit in this town and watch everyone get droned? I fucking hate it.

I honestly don't know Theo. I mean, we're working on it but I don't know how long it's going to take to get ourselves out of this place. And even then there's no guarantee we'll even go home and not just get shunted off to another place like this.

We just have to keep going and not let it get us down too badly.

That's always a possibility. We've seen what else is out there. The Soviet town, Westport... who knows how many more of these places there are.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure we can put a stop to this. [He's gonna grin and ruffle Theo's hair to be annoying]

I just gotta make sure they don't try to send me home.

[He tries to bat you off ineffectively. Why did he miss you again?]
