[Look out below, Mayfield! There's something being dropped on you. It's small and light, made of wood... why look, it's a chess piece. It might have been dropped right on you or nearby you from above, by a large black crow. It sits on a phone wire, cawing. Does it sound just a little bit like laughter?

Elsewhere around town, Theo can be found searching for the pieces, grumbling to himself. A different crow is sitting on his shoulder, occasionally hopping or flying nearby to help look. Theo's talking to it.]

No, go over there. Higher! You're a bird, don't you have better eyes than people? He's taken almost all the pieces. Just know when I see him next time, I'm gonna wring his neck.

[They stumble across a piece every once in while, but didn't you just get hit with a chess a few minutes ago?]

[[Please just specify if you're approaching the first crow - he can talk to people - or approaching Theo and the other bird!]]

[A familiar crow is looking down at Ciel. It squawks merrily at him.]

Well, that loud call has finally got the attention of the bird's master and Ciel's charming not!dad. Theo turns the corner, being followed by the other crow.]

There you are!

[Aaaand off the thief birdy flies, cawing in a way that sounds an awful lot like laughter.]

[Ciel's poor ears. That call was a lot louder and more shrill than anticipated.]

[Trails off as he sees his not!dad approaching. Sucks in a breath and waits until he's closer]

I take it, it wasn't your intention to spread chess pieces throughout the town..?

[Looks a little amused. Not by the bird, but by Theo's expression]

Damn thing got mad at me and stole all my pieces when I wasn't looking.

I wasn't aware that you played. [Ciel is quite the chess player himself. He looks down at the knight before offering it to Theo.]

It was because I wouldn't teach him to play, if you can believe that.

How immature. Is that familiar always so disagreeable? [Tsk tsk, Theo can't even keep his own familiars in line. You certainly wouldn't see Ciel letting his servants behave like this...]

[He'd never admit it, but he likes his birdies just the way they are.] Sometimes he gets ideas in hs tiny bird brain like this. He's got an attitude, unlike this one.

["This one" cuddles closer to his master. Of course he's a good birdie.]

That would be a lot easier then trying to track down each piece individually. [Which makes him wonder why you're even attempting it now]

[Just like Ciel wouldn't admit how much he does let his servants get away with.. 3 of which are incompetent in regards to their house work, but retained for other skills] I can see that. Do you have any other way to differentiate between them other than "this one" and "that one"..?
