[Look out below, Mayfield! There's something being dropped on you. It's small and light, made of wood... why look, it's a chess piece. It might have been dropped right on you or nearby you from above, by a large black crow. It sits on a phone wire, cawing. Does it sound just a little bit like laughter?

Elsewhere around town, Theo can be found searching for the pieces, grumbling to himself. A different crow is sitting on his shoulder, occasionally hopping or flying nearby to help look. Theo's talking to it.]

No, go over there. Higher! You're a bird, don't you have better eyes than people? He's taken almost all the pieces. Just know when I see him next time, I'm gonna wring his neck.

[They stumble across a piece every once in while, but didn't you just get hit with a chess a few minutes ago?]

[[Please just specify if you're approaching the first crow - he can talk to people - or approaching Theo and the other bird!]]

[Kira looks at the chess piece which has somehow managed to drop down and smack her, frowning as she leans to pick it up. Where did it even come from? She'll glance around, and if she spots Theo, she'll approach him.]

[Above Kira is a crow whole almost sounds to be cackling before it flies off. Theo storms up, being followed by another crow. Theo yells to it as it flies off.]

Son of a bitch, get back here! Where are you hiding those?

[Kira jerks before realizing he meant the bird, and she glances back at the flying creature, before looking at Theo again, smiling faintly.]

Um... I'm guessing the chess piece he dropped is yours?

Hnn? Yeah. He thinks this is funny. Too almost the whole set.

[The other crow lands on Theo's shoulder, and peers at Kira.]

He opened the box and started dropping them all over town when I wasn't paying attention. It's because I won't teach him to play.

[There's a pause as he realizes this sounds like complete insanity.]

...They're my familiars.

[Perhaps thankfully for Theo, Kira was a good friend of Mickey Mouse when he was around, so the idea of a sentient creature comes as absolutely no surprise to her. However, there is a very obvious look of confusion on her face, before she queries.]

How would he even manage to play? I would think his wings would get in the way.

He seems to think otherwise. Also limited intelligence and the attention span of, well, a crow, would also get in the way.

Hm... Be fascinating to watch, but very difficult to get a game finished. [She smiles a little and holds the piece she picked up out to Theo] Here.
