36th Resurrection
[Red Mage is absolutely delighted with the latest turn of events in town. Finally, a proper set of random monster encounters! The only problem is, these things are only vulnerable to attack when he isn't looking at them. So he's standing there on the streets glancing backward every so often and then haphazardly aiming high-level ice elemental spells behind him. Still, though, he seems to be having a fantastic time of it.]
Ha! Take that, you stone cretins! You haven't gotten the best of me yet! Blizzaga!
[Red Mage just so happens to be doing this near 337 Brady Lane, as Theo Crawford watches the magic display from the front window. Up until this point, he'd been staying indoors, not caring about these supposedly evil angel statues. However, he's not about to let some elemental spellcaster hog all the fun.
Within a few minutes, Theo has gathered up his components and his personal spellbook and joined Red Mage in the destruction. With a few hand gestures and the proper incantations, a statue nearby collapses in upon itself suddenly. Theo turns to Red Mage, smirking. *How about that?*
In the end, this won't ultimately stop the assault of the angels. But that doesn't mean these two are going to go down without a fight, and without having some fun first.]
[[Post order will be you character (or maybe angel) > Red Mage > Theo! Be warned that with the angels being involved (and two guys wildly casting dangerous spells), there's always the chance your character can get injured/killed/possessed.]]

Witty spellcaster banter thread
[Firing another ice blast behind him while he's talking, LIKE A BOSS.]

It's not elemental. It's a force spell. Gravity.

[Whipping around to glance behind him - the angel he'd just frozen isn't there anymore.]

[Theo turned to spot an angel lunging for Red Mage, freezing it in its tracks. He had to time the spell just right - incantation, gesture, and close his eyes at the right moment in order for it to be hit while unfrozen. There's the satisfying crunch of the spell hitting his target dead on from behind Red.]

[Red Mage whirls around to face another angel, closing his eyes for a split second as he fires off another blast of ice.]

[Theo takes a long drag on his cigarette as he watched Red blast away. Elemental magic never interested him much, but this guy seemed to make it fun, at least.
He looked around, searching out more angels.]
Where the hell are these things coming from, anyway.

[He sounds honestly thrilled about all of this as he joins Theo in looking around for more angels to fight.]

Who is this? A member of your adventuring party?

Fine, Gil. Why not go kill some of these whatever-they-ares, or at least find out how many are around.

>some
Oh, right. He snaps his fingers once and bam, swords everywhere. Don't mind him but the front yard is getting large amount of dead statues.]
Hmph.

Your wish is my command, Master!

[Glances around.]
Not that I can argue with the results, of course.

Might as well see how many other things we can get rid of, then.

At any rate, this is worthless. They make easy targets but not worthy foes.

FIRE AND ICE!
"MOU! Finally, someone doing something useful about these stupid things."

Theo took a flask from his pocket, unscrewed it and took a swig before speaking.]
We'll just have to make do, I guess.
no subject
[she looks over them both.]
"We headed anywhere in particular, or just killing as many as we can?"
no subject
[Red Mage gleefully throws his hands up in the air.]
And we're simply killing as many as we can. It's been a while since I got some good old fashioned grinding time in.
no subject
XP? What the fuck are you talking about?
[Theo hides the flask in his coat and cracks his knuckles, looking around for the next target.]
no subject
"XP? Grinding?"
[Fwooosh, more fire.]

[Blasts the one Shana just attacked with some ice.]

[Theo was keeping his spells basic for now, conserving energy in case the team needs some force fields up between them and the angels. Guess who really IS the support caster?]

Good to see I'm not the only on taking initiative here. How many did you guys get so far?
no subject
Well, that's certainly a familiar sight. Welcome, newcomer!

[Theo never keeps his eyes in one place for too long. He doesn't want to get snuck up on while standing here.]
Do your worst!
You can't stop them. None of your tricks can stop them.

[Yeah okay she's just a little unhinged, and wandering closer and closer to the blast zone.]
