39th Resurrection

[During the last week, Theo had a nasty throwndown with Nina, and a man and woman he didn't know. He remembers killing the man, and then getting shot... and someone trying to save his life. It was all fuzzy, but he woke up in the hospital later, a hole in his chest all stitched up. The rest and IV in the hospital gave him some of his life back, after expending a lot oHe watched the Milkman's mech rampage the town from his window, and its inevitable destruction.f energy on spellcasting.

He checked himself out early when the drone doctors weren't paying attention. He heard the phone calls and saw the damage to the dairy and to the robot. He checked out Deadman's Gulch, finding not much more than some beer and a werewolf, which was something at least.

When he finally made it home again, tired, his chest aching, he figures he'd have to try and avoid Nina like the plague. Except, she's droned.]

[Phone call: filtered from usual NPCs:]

So if someone gets droned now, what do you suppose happens to them?

[Theo will be on the porch, later, if you care to talk to him face to face for some reason. He's smoking and drinking as usual, with his crows familiars who are happy to hang out with their returned master. Theo's looking more tired and pale than usual, somehow.]

31st Resurrection // phone

Hey, Lucy Smith! Maybe more people wouldn't want to leave if they weren't regularly kidnapped, brainwashed, tortured and murdered. Ever think of that? Keep it in mind.

Personally, I voted to stay, only because I don't have an alternative. It has nothing to do with pretending I like my fake family, my fake job, and my fake life in this town. Between being dead and being trapped in this hellhole, I'd rather stay alive, even if it means staying in Mayfield. I'm sure most people in my situation, and I know there's quite a few who share it, would say the same. Better this shitty life than none at all!
